DESCRIPTION

Hotel Ad Astra Florence is a bed and breakfast in Florence located in the Oltrarno area. With a refined design, it is located in a historic residence overlooking the Torrigiani Garden, the largest private garden in Europe. The structure, equipped with a lift, develops between the first and second floors of the nineteenth-century villa and offers 14 air-conditioned rooms, all different from each other, some of which overlook the 270 m2 terrace on the first floor, overlooking the garden. At guests' disposal a stylish lounge with parquet flooring and frescoed ceilings and private paid parking.

LOCATION AND TRANSPORT

The B&B is located in Florence in the San Frediano district, a 7-minute walk from Palazzo Pitti, 10 minutes from the Boboli Gardens and Ponte Vecchio and about 15 minutes from Palazzo della Signoria and the Uffizi Gallery. The Santa Maria Novella railway station can be reached in 20 minutes on foot, or in 12 minutes by bus, going up to the Serragli Campuccio stop which is only a minute's walk from the hotel. Florence Amerigo Vespucci airport can be reached in about 20 minutes by car or in 40 minutes by tram line T2.

ROOMS

The rooms feature classic furnishings combined with contemporary elements: in fact, there are handcrafted furniture embellished with carefully selected works of art and design pieces. All rooms have free Wi-Fi, flat-screen HD TV with satellite channels, DVD player, mini fridge, safe, kettle, espresso machine, a freestanding bathtub, bathroom with shower cubicle and hairdryer, courtesy kit with slippers and bathrobe included. Some rooms overlook via del Campuccio, four others onto the terrace and two open directly onto the surrounding garden.

SERVICES

The residence has 4 parking spaces by reservation, for a fee. The reception with concierge is open every day and the self check-in and check-out system is available on request. Luggage storage is free as is Wi-Fi throughout the entire hotel.

FOOD

The continental breakfast is included in the price and served in the nineteenth-century hall. The buffet includes homemade desserts, baked goods and a selection of savory choices such as ham, eggs and local cheeses. In warmer weather guests can enjoy their breakfast on the terrace.
