BEACH SPORTS

It should be refused downright that you go to the seaside just to get tanned or lie in the shade and relax. More and more bathhouses are gearing up to give their guests the opportunity to play many sports and spend time.
This section provides information on "Beach Games", that is to say all those sports that can be played on the beach. We hope that this will stimulate more and more people to start playing new sports to keep fit and healthy.

Foot Volley
Foot Volley
Foot Volley was invented on Brazilian beaches where this game became a professional sport a few years ago. In 1995 it was imported in Italy by B.V.C. SPORT (Sportur).

To play it, a beach volley court (16x8 m) and two teams of 2 players are necessary. The regulation is the same as beach volley's one except for the ball not to be hit with hands and arms. To service, you need to kick the ball.

For further details on this sport, please visit the F.I.Fo.V (fifov.com), Italian Foot Volley League.

Beach Tennis
Beach Tennis
This is a tennis version on the beach. It was mainly developed in the Adriatic Coast and has a specific regulation replacing the traditional one.

To play it, a 8x8 m - large court and two teams of 2 players are necessary. The regulation is similar to tennis except for rallies which have to be always volleys.

Each team cannot strike the ball more than once: the ball must be shot beyond the net on the volley.

Kite Surf
Kite Surf
Kite Surf is a brand new exciting sport mixing kites as a means of transport and surfing. It literally boomed in Maui's beaches and it is now rampant all over the world, obviously on the Adriatic Coast, too.

It is a nice mix of kiting, water skiing, surfing, wakeboarding and windsurfing. To replace traditional sails, it benefits from the power produced by kites to be controlled with 2 or 4 cables. This sport has not only an incredible towing capacity, but it also offers a vertical pull so that athletes can now jump as high as ever before!
